totally off-topic i was watching a documentary on the japanese navy circa WWII yesterday and i did a search on the sister battleship to the famous Yamato; the Musashi and i found a probably very seldom seen -new to me anyways- photo Emperor Hirohito and his staff aboard the Musashi on June 24, 1943. せたがやアバント – CC BY-SA 3.0



hirohito was quite reclusive...ship was sunk 16 months TO THE DAY after this photo was taken in the battle of leyte gulf october 24th of '44 japanese are still using the very boatyard except now they dont build battleships 6 football fields long including the end zones it was 135 feet wide; does not fit thru the panama canal...they build cargo vessels
----and no i dont plan to continue presenting WWII memorabilia photos; this was just a one-time thing...i will from time to time do an unrelated photo here or there but closer to the forum's purpose----
