-THE TRADITIONAL FORM OF BRAZILIAN JIUJITSU IS USING THOSE ROBES AND THAT STILL TO THIS DAY IS THE DOMINANT version HOWEVER NOGI JIUJITSU [in leggings and lycra tops] is a strong and growing form of jiujitsu with its own set of rules...whereas before it was an extension of the trADITIONAL FORM OF GRAPPLING; a way to practice without having to wear those robes...
