IG wasn't my point of interest to date. I am not registered there (not in Lycra-Life and not in real-Life) and somehow i am not able to download the pics in acceptable size and quality. do you have a hint for me? Is there a trick like "edit the adress and delete this from the path"? Right-clicking is protected there for me.

instagram[*] isnt / was never my favorite to pull pics from.....up to about 5-6 months ago pics were 750x750 pixels MAX; the poor quality came from the phone cameras; so I STAYED AWAY. 5-6 months ago instagram announced that larger photos can be uploaded; now 1080x1080-1200 and sometimes 1080x1300 +/- are now standard ALSO phone cameras have much better/improved photo quality lately...........SO its made a huge difference and now i am looking at those photos were before i stayed away..............NOW AS FAR AS YOUR QUESTION IS CONCERNED; it still is right click protected and no you cant get better resolution than whats uploaded so you right click on the photo of interest on https://www.instagram.com/yogaliebe/ lets say and in mozilla browser you 'open link in new window' and you get the instagram link w the photo and then you hit 'tools', 'page info' and 'media' and scroll to the very bottom and look for the sentence with .jpg?ig_cache_key= [its usually the very last or near the very last] and copy and paste to the adderess bar and that photo should load
Unless some of you know of a shortcut this is the way to save a photo off of instagram; basically the same procedure you or myself would use to get to flikr's protected pics except you are looking for that ".jpg_xxx cache" instead of flikr's .k.jpg or .b.jpg or .o.jpg file name.

HINT: you can usually tell by looking at the photos on an instagram collections of photos page which are 750x750 by looking closely at the blurriness or lack thereof.....if it appears a little blurry its 750x750 if its sharper then its at least 1080x1080....if its 1080x1080+ i will post it if it isnt i wont...sometimes removing the "/s750/" off of the code will load a 940 pixel photo instead of the 750 pixel limit-THAT TRICK I HAVE MENTIONED BEFORE-but its almost meaningless so the photo is 20-25% bigger; big deal....unless its 1080+ i dont collect it.

[*]there might be some way that we arent aware of to pull the original photo from the link that contains the.jpg cache... via some coding but for that you would need to contact an instagram tech support since he would know how the photo is coded to pull a larger / original photo from the link-but that info isnt public if such a shortcut exists only an instagram employee might have that info.

I guess i have to visit this more often. i never had the intention to deal with the code of instagram.
But i guess i have found out - with your help - how it works:
If the adress of the image is like that it is the original size.
scontent-yyyy-x.cdninstagram.com/txx.xxxx-xx/e35/figures_figures_figures_n.jpg The Question Tag and the other figures and letters can be cut off, https:// has been cut off to protect the forum from editing this to a hyperlink.

If the filename is like this it is the shrinked version:
scontent-yyyy-x.cdninstagram.com/txx.xxxx-xx/s640x640/shx.xx/e35/cxxx.x.xxx.xxx/figures_figures_figures_n.jpg The Question Tag and the other figures and letters can be cut off.
The blue marked figures are the shrink-size. You can enter here other figures but this will only enlarge the shrinked image. You will see bigger squares, that are the pixels of the original picture.
The red figures have a meaning too, this is the original size in height only. Cut off the underlined parts and you will see the original picture.

yes basically as you informed me on a message instagram reprocesses all of the user uploaded pics no matter the pixels or definition and limits the pixel size to their formats so you cant use any tricks to get any worthwhile larger photos than what you see....750 sized that maybe you can get it to 940 with 'tricks' isnt a worthwhile endeavor at the end of the day unless that one photo is extremely important to you for whatever reason

the problem with instagram is that the photos are much smaller than from the photographer sites, flikr, smugmug, ect; i am sure most of you dont mind but i still would have preferred 'life without instagram'....for guys like me i ALWAYS found new pics when there was no instagram....with instGRAM there are tons and tons of new pics but much smaller....credit goes to the camera phones that have improved the quality of the photo by leaps and bounds but when its uploaded to instagram you lose size and pic quality taking away the advantage of much improved camera phones

I agree with you regarding the quality of images on pages like instragram, Facebook and other social media. It is really a crime to take HQ-Images and then upload them to IG, FB or Twitter. But i dont agree with your point regarding the quality of cell-phone cameras. Yes, they have improved the number of pixels. But there is still no - and there will never be any - (acceptable) optical zoom in these tiny and thin cell phones with internet access and other gadgets. Digital Cameras will always head up in photo quality, number of pixels and resolution. Many Images on IG are blocky, grainy and shaky and thats a turndown.
But there is a way to avoid the size limitation on IG. For example the first Link you posted. DTufino. Go to google and type in "DTufino_photo" and then click 'search', 'advanced search' and type in the Top-Level-Domain instagram.com and press 'search' again or just type in 'dtufino_photo site:instagram.com' into the search. you will find out that the images of DTufino are not available in better quality. But that works with every other search term on IG. And there are a lot in HQ!

You will find a lot of Pictures with asian women in tight Leggings on a page named yogadaily.vn That Page is from Vietnam. Due to the unknown characters i suggest you not to visit that page directly. Go to Google, click image search, advanced image search and enter the domain into the panel "from this domain".
