NO THE SWIMMING POOL IS N0T 100+ FEET DEEP....I THINK THE MINI SCUBA TANKS ARE USED SINCE THEY HAVE TO SWIM ALL OF THE LAPS UNDERWATER I SUPPOSE....THERE ISNT ANY OTHER EXPLANATION THAT I CAN COME UP WITH.
i have seen and even posted an indoor pool apnea video@photos where they fin-paddle underwater but on one breath-no scuba tank. i have seen underwater hockey but again its holding their breath no scuba tanks. i have seen enough 'dateline nbc and 24 hours' murder mysteries programs where the husband drowns the wife not going to work if the gal has one of these mini scuba scuba tanks handy
or....another possible explanation would be they are being organized into a 'search@recovery' team as a swimmer lost an earring and they will use the tanks to stay submerged as long as possible as they go over the bottom of the pool 'with a fine toothcone' to recover the lost earring

i wonder why there hasnt been more promotion regarding the 'tiny scuba tank' shown above used in underwater swim laps...its easy to carry and great for snorkeling and extending free dives to explore underwater...i am sure this comes in handy to explore the cenotes in mexico and underwater caves...maybe a tenth of the oxygen supply of a regular scuba tank but when combined with breath control as in apnea/freediving you can get close to 10 minutes underwater or more...these could have come in handy in that thailand cave rescue a couple of years ago [The 12 boys and their soccer coach who were rescued from a flooded cave 2019] had there been these tanks left inside the cave they could have come out earlier on their own; gained world wide news...https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tham_Luang_cave_rescue

FINA banned the "shiny suit" which was developed by NASA and Speedo prior to the 2004 Olympics, because they felt it gave too much of a competitive advantage to those swimmers and teams that can afford to buy those suits. It was like performance-enhancement that you could wear because the suits reduced drag and compressed the body to make them sleeker. THEY ARE ALMOST A SUBSTITUTE FOR WEARING A CATSUIT; A dressier type catsuit-like the ones were i show the bachata dance ones in the youtube...i assume these are a super tight fit more restrictive than a dressier catsuit...so really designed for swimming not for anything else...i remember reading that in competition they are so uncomfortable to put on and gals just want out of them as soon as possible...i remember reading something to that effect some years ago.

I SAID casually THAT IT WILL SET YOU BACK QUITE A BIT OF MONEY AND THAT YOUR GF WILL LOOK SO GOOD....well that is if shes got the ideal athletic body shape; no you cant walk into any swimming apparel store and pick one of these up...they have to be ordered since its made for a purpose and so if your wife is a 'fat slob' she will never ever fit into this thing
